Diary of My One Week Journey ♡

Okulumuzun değişim programı aracılığıyla 29 Kasım - 5 Aralık tarihleri arasında Almanya'nın batı kesiminde yer alan ve Essen'in hemen güneybatısındaki Mülheim-an-der-Ruhr'da bir hafta kalma ve oranın kültürünü tanıma fırsatına sahip oldum. 

Through the our school exchange program, between November 29 to December 5, I had the opportunity to stay a week and learn about the culture of Mülheim-and-der-Ruhr that located in the western part of Germany and in the immediate southwest of Essen.

Uçağımız Düsseldorf havaalanına indi ve yolculuğumuz 3 saat 15 dakika sürdü. Havaalanında beni o hafta kalacağım aile bekliyordu. Hepsi beni çok güleryüzlü karşıladı ve o akşam ailecek yemeğe gittik.

 Our plane landed at Dusseldorf Airport and our journey took 3 hours and 15 minutes. The family was waiting for me at the airport. All greeted me very friendly and we went to dinner that evening whole family.

İkinci günün sabahı bir kafede kahvaltının ardından bütün değişim programına katılanlarla birlikte (12si Türk 12si Alman olmak üzere toplam 24 kişi) tren ile Köln'e gittik. Aşağıda resmini gördüğünüz Kölner Dom'un en tepesine çıktık. 

On the morning of the second day, after breakfast in a cafe, with all the exchange students (12s to 12s German Turkish totaling 24 people) went to Cologne by train. Below you can see the picture went to the top of the Kölner Dom.

Merdivenle çıkabileceğiniz bu katedralın en tepesine çıkmak bir hayli zor ve yorucu. Yaklaşık 15 dakikanızı alan bu merdivenlerin sonunda göreceğiniz manzara size bütün yorgunluğunuzu unutturuyor.
Go to the top of this cathedral by stairs can be a difficult and exhausting. Approximately 15 minutes at the end of the stairs you will see, this view is you forget your tiredness.

Eşsiz bir manzaraya sahip olan Kölner Dom'un tepesinde partnerim Ida ile ilk fotoğrafımızı çekindik.
Which has a unique view of Cologne Dome, me and my partner Ida took our first photo at the top of it.

Buradan sonra biraz boş vaktimizin ardından Lindt Çikolata Müzesi'ne gittik.
After a bit of free time, we went to the Lindt Chocolate Museum.

Girdiğimiz zaman hemen burnuma enfes çikolata kokusu gelmeye başlamıştı bile. İçeride camekanların arkasında büyük makineler aracılığıyla çikolata yapımına tanıklık ediyorsunuz.
Delicious chocolate smell had already started to arrive to my nose when we entered. Inside, behind the storefronts you witness to chocolate making by a large machine.

Ardından büyük bir çikolata şelalesinden bir görevli gofreti batırarak misafirlere ikramda bulunuyor.
Then an officer of a large chocolate fountain dipping the wafer and served to guests in the rooms.

Pek çok markanın eski ambalajlarından günümüze kadar aldığı hali görebilme imkanına sahip olmakla birlikte çikolatanın tarihine kadar birçok bilgi edindik.
We had opportunity to see old packing to new ones of many brands of chocolate and also had many information about history of chocolate.

Üçüncü gün ailelerimizin bizi gezdirdiği serbest zamandı.

The third day was free time that our families give us a ride.

 Hep beraber güzel bir kahvaltının ardından beni Almanya'nın kentlerinden biri olan ve bize arabayla bir saat uzaklıkta olan Aachen'a götürdüler. 

After a nice breakfast together, they took me to Aachen which is one of Germany's cities and an hour's drive away from us.

Büyük bir Christmas Market yani onların değişiyle Weihnachtsmarkt'a ev sahipliği yapan Aachen'da ilk olarak bana Hexenhof'ta meşhur Christmas içeceğini denettirdiler ve hatta içtiğimiz şirin kupayı hatıra olarak bana aldılar. 
Aachen hosts a big Christmas Market -they call it Weihnachtsmarkt- First, I drank the famous Christmas drink at Hexenhof and even bought me a cute mug as a souvenir.

"One of the most popular meeting points at the Aachen market is the Hexenhof, where people gather for the popular Christmas drink."

Etrafta müzikler eşliğinde dolaşırken bana ikinci olarak denettirdikleri şey ise Flammkuchen idi. Aşağıda resminide gördüğünüz Flammkuchen pizza mantığıyla aynı olan fakat hamuru farklı ince ve hafif bir yiyecek. 
When I was wandering around with music, they ordered me a food named Flammkuchen. Below you can see a picture of Flammkuchen is like a pizza logic but  has different dough, it's thin and light food.

Daha sonra Christmas süsleriyle meşhur be kapısında kuyruk olan Käthe Wohlfahrt'a girdik. Aklınıza gelebilecek her türlü yılbaşı ağacı süsünün yanı sıra Christmas ile ilgili her şeyi bulabileceğiniz yalnız normalden biraz pahalı bir mağazaydı. 
Then, we entered Käthe Wohlfahrt that famous with Christmas decorations. Christmas tree decorations of all kinds that may come to your mind as well as you'll find everything about Christmas, but it was narrated normally a bit expensive.

 

Aşağıda resmini gördüğünüz yapı ise Aachen Belediye Sarayı ve Christmas Market bu binanın ön tarafındaki alanda bulunmakta. 

Below you can see a picture of the structure is the Aachen Town Hall and  Christmas Market is located in the area in front of these buildings .

Üçüncü gün sabah okula gittikten sonra hep beraber pizza yedik daha sonra da bowling oynamaya bir alışveriş merkezine gittik. Akşam Düsseldorf'a alışverişe gittik.
After the third day in the morning to go to school together, ate pizza, bowling and then went to a shopping center. In the evening we went shopping in Dusseldorf.

Bir çok ünlü markanın bulunduğu Königsallee'de neredeyse her markayı bulmanız mümkün ve ışıl ışıl. 
Königsallee where you can find many famous brands, you can find almost everything and it's brilliant.

Akşamda bütün kızlarla birlikte keyifli bir akşam yemeğiyle günümüzü sonlandırdık.
In the evening with all the girls, we ended our day with a pleasant dinner.

Dördüncü gün sabah okul orkestralarını dinlemeye gittik. Yaklaşık bir saat boyunca vakit geçirdik ve oldukça başarılılardı.
On the fourth day we went to listening their school orchestra in the morning. We had fun for about an hour and they were quite successful.

Daha sonra Oberhausen'da bulunan Gasometer denen bir yere gittik. En tepesine asansörle çıkılan yerin manzarası görülmeye değerdi.
Later in Oberhausen, went to a place called Gasometer. A lift to the top, the view was worth seeing place.

İçerisindeki bu büyük ve yaklaşık 10 kat uzunluğunda olan balonun içine girmek mümkün. 

 This approximately 10 times larger in length and able to enter into a balloon.

Buradan çıkışta gene Oberhausen'da bulunan ve en büyük alışveriş merkezlerinden biri olan Centro'yu gezdik.
After we left there, we visited one of the largest shopping mall called Centro and it also located in Oberhausen.

Akşam hepimiz Leonardo adlı kafede güzel vakit geçirerek günümüzü sonlandırdık.

In the evening, we were spending nice time at cafe named Leonardo and we've been finished for today.

Beşinci gün gene sabah okula gittikten sonra bir müzenin daha yolunu tuttuk. Bize beş değil altı duyumuzun olduğunu ve buna dengeyi eklememiz gerektiğini öğreten bu yer bize duyularımızı çeşitli mekanizmalarla test ettirdi. 

On the fifth day after going to school in the morning again took the road of a museum. They teaches us that we have six senses and we should add them balance. While we were there, they tested our senses with a variety of mechanisms.

Çeşitli aynalarla böyle göz yanılmaları sağlamışlardı. 

They had such illusions with various mirrors provide.

Bu günün akşamı son gecemiz olması sebebiyle hep beraber Franky's Bar'da yemek yedik ve hocalarımızla selfie çektik :)
In the evening of this day because it is our last night we had dinner together at Franky's Bar and we took selfie photo with our teachers :)

Altıncı gün dönüş vakti gelmişti. Valizler bir önceki günün akşamından hazırlandı ve son kontroller yapıldı. Normalde 13.30 da olan uçağımız rötar yapması sebebiyle 14.30a ertelenmişti. Havaalanında herkes birbiriyle vedalaştı biraz gözyaşları döküldü.
The sixth day was time to return. Suitcases from the previous day's evening was prepared and the final checks were made. Our flight delays that normally do at 13:30 to 14:30 was delayed due. Everyone at the airport saying goodbye to each other a little tears poured.

Ida'dan ayrılmak biraz zor gelmişti. İnsan alışmıştı bir haftalığına bile olsa. Ama tek tesellimiz onların Mart sonunda İstanbul'a gelecek olmalarıydı.
It was a little hard to leave Ida. Even for a week, we were accustomed. But the only consolation was that they will come to Istanbul at the end of March.

Son grup fotoğrafı çekildi herkes ayrılacakları için biraz mutsuz ama aileleri ve arkadaşlarına kavuşacakları için mutluydu. 2 saat 45 dakika sonucu İstanbul'a varmıştık. 

The last group photo was taken. Everyone was a little bit unhappy, but they were happy for the families and friends of attainment. We came to Istanbul at the end of 2 hours and 45 minutes.

Bu haftadan geriye kalan sadece fotoğraflardı. Çok soğuk ve donarak bir hafta geçirmiştik ama o kadar keyifliydi ki havanın soğukluğu aklımıza gelecek en son şeydi. Döndüğümüz günün ertesi günü kar yağmaya başlamış. Kaçırdık ama olsun. Bu güzel haftayı geçirmemi sağladığı için en büyük teşekkürü Ida'ya borçluyum...
The remainder of this week was just photos. We had spent a week in very cold and freeze, but it was last thing on our minds because of fun. When we returned Istanbul, started to snow the next day in Germany. We missed it though. I owe thank for Ida to had such a beautiful week...
